Intro – Sales Rep #
Sales rep is a person who works on behalf of a company or organization to promote and sell its products or services to customers. A sales rep can be either an employee or an independent contractor. They typically earn credit or commission for each successful sale, which is tracked and verified using an invoice or receipt.
Create a New Sales Rep #
- Go to Sales Performance on the left sidebar, and select Sales Rep
- Click Add New button.
- Fill in the following fields
- Rep Id: Enter sales rep Id. It is up to 20 characters.
- Employee or Independent Contractor: Identify if sales rep is an employee or an independent contractor.
- Employee Id: Select employee from a dropdown if sales rep is an employee.
- Vendor Id: For independent contractor, system need vendor Id to pay commission through the bill payment (not payroll). You have to create a vendor record, by ‘Vendors’ application, before creating the independent contractor.

- Click Save button
Inactive Sales Rep #
If you need to remove a sales rep from dropdown lists in sales applications (like for invoices) without deleting their record, you can simply mark the sales rep as inactive.
- Go to Sales Performance on the left sidebar, and select Sales Rep
- Click or tap on the sales rep row you want to edit.
- On the sales rep information page, select ‘Inactive‘ checkbox.
- Click Save button.
