Intro – Pay Period #

Pay period is the time interval for which employees’ wages or salaries are paid. Acci.cloud supports various pay period cycles, including Weekly, Biweekly, Semi-Monthly, Monthly, and Quarterly. A pay period must be set up before any pay run can be entered.

Create a New Pay Period #

  • Go to Payroll on the left sidebar, and select Pay Period
  • Select the pay frequency, weekly/monthly …, for the new pay period.
  • Click Add First or Add New button.
  • On the Add New period page, fill in the following fields
    • Pay Period Name: Enter a unique pay period name.
    • Pay Frequency: It is a pay frequency you choose before adding new pay period.
    • Description: Explain what the pay period is for, up to 50 characters.
    • Select Start – End Day: For monthly or quarterly frequency, you have to specify start day and end day. Default is 1st to end of month. You can enter custom date like 20th and 19th.
    • Select Pay Day: For monthly or quarterly frequency, pay day is a day of month from 1st to end of month. For weekly or biweekly frequency, pay day is a weekday from Monday to Saturday.
    • Pay following period option: For weekly or biweekly frequency, you can choose if the pay day is on or after period.
    • First start-end date: Enter the first start and end date of the pay period.
    • First pay date: Enter the first pay date of your first period.
    • Second pay date: For semi-monthly pay cycle.
    • Create new period for current year: It is telling you that system will auto create pay periods from specified start date till end of current year. It is not editable.
    • Also create new periods for next year: optional.

 

  • Click Save
