Intro – Misc Receive #
Misc Receive is used to record miscellaneous income or payments that don’t fit into standard categories like invoice payments or sales receipts. Examples include sales of scrap materials.
Create a Misc Receive #
- Go to Sales on the left sidebar, and select Misc Receives
- Click Add New button in the top right corner.
- On the new receive page, fill in the following fields
- Doc No is an auto generated number.
- Date: default is today.
- Payer: Enter payer’s name. It is a required field.
- Amount: Enter positive amount.
- Excluded Tax: This is a read-only field. You can enter tax code and rate in Tax tab.
- Total: It equals Amount + Excluded Tax. This is a read-only field.
- Description: Maximum characters: 1000.
- Payment Method: Select customer’s payment method.
- Total: It equals Amount + Excluded Tax. This is a read-only field.

- Account tab
- Undeposited Funds: Cash or check payments can be temporarily held in a separate account before being deposited into the bank at the end of the day or week.
- Deposit To Account: Select bank account or Undeposited account.
- Income Account: Select a miscellaneous income account or any account of your choice.

- Payment Method: Cash, Check, EFT, or other options. You can set up additional methods in Account → Payment Methods.
- Reference No: optional
- Check Date: optional

- Tax tab
- Tax Option: Tax Exclusive, Tax Inclusive or No Tax.
- Tax Code: Select a tax code from the predefined codes. These must be set up under Tax → Tax Code.
- Tax Rate: Auto-filled when tax code is selected. Tax rate field is editable, and system use it to calculate the excluded tax.
- Excluded Tax: This is a calculated field and cannot be edited.

- Click Save
