Use a Bank Withdrawal transaction to record any cash you take from your bank and add to a cash account, such as petty cash. Bank withdrawal is a posting transaction.
Create a New Bank Withdrawal
- Go to Bank / Credit Card on the left sidebar, and select Bank Withdrawals
- Click Add New button.
- Fill in the following fields
- Date: The default date is today.
- Withdraw from Account: Select the bank account from which you are withdrawing the cash.
- To Account: Select the cash account where you are putting the money.
- Amount: Enter the withdrawal amount.
- Memo: if any
- Click Save.
