Intro – Bundles #
Bundle item is a feature that allows you to group multiple products and services that you frequently sell together into a single, combined item. It’s essentially a shortcut for adding all those individual items to an invoice or sales receipt with one click.
A bundle item may comprise both inventory and service items. System tracks the inventory of the individual components within the bundle. When you sell a bundle, the quantities of each inventory item it contains are automatically reduced.
Create a New Bundle #
- Go to Items on the left sidebar, and select Bundles
- Click Add New button in the top right corner.
- On the new bundle page, fill in the following fields
- Bundle Name: Enter a unique name.
- Description: It is up to 50 characters.
- SKU: A unique internal tracking field. It is typically alphanumeric or a mix of letters and numbers. It is optional.
- Bar Code: When you scan a product, the system looks up the barcode number to find the corresponding item record. It is optional.
- Rate/Price: Enter a unit price of bundle item. You can compare with the total components value display next to this field.
- Uom: Default unit of measure is Ea (each).
- Print Details on Invoice/Receipt: Select this option if you want system shows component detail of bundle item on Invoice or Receipt printing form.
- Components: Click “Add Component” button and fill in the component item
- Item. Select an item from the dropdown list.
- Description. Automatically filled when you select an item.
- Quantity: Enter quantity.
- Uom: Default unit of measure is Ea (each).
- Click Save button
- Repeat adding component until it is complete.
